There are few measures we take to protect your privacy in groups.
We ask everyone to sign agreements to ensure that anything that is shared in groups is private and confidential.
You will be able to choose how you present any identifying information with the group i.e. your name or any other details.
We keep groups small and consistent i.e. it’s the same people each week to ensure that you get to know the folks you are sharing with and feel comfortable with them. -
The first step in getting started is finding a therapist that is a supportive fit for you. Research shows that the effectiveness of psychotherapy is closely tied to the relationship between the client and therapist, which is why an initial consultation is important.
At Noema Care a free consultation is offered to discuss therapy goals, fees, and scheduling. During an initial consult, you’ll be able to assess the therapist's suitability and the therapist will determine if their expertise meets your needs. If needed, therapists will refer you to practitioners they deem are a better fit. You’ll know you have a good fit when you feel the therapist understands you, offers helpful insights, support, and tools. You can get a better sense of fit after completing an initial consult.
If you choose to move forward with one of our therapists, the initial session then provides an opportunity to further connect and collaborate on therapy goals and duration. Clients are always informed about therapy costs, length, and methods and have the freedom to end therapy at any time. -
